Advice to consumer (householder)
F1 will provide a take back service based at our Lincoln HQ for domestic householders on a like for like basis when purchasing new Electrical & Electronic Equipment. The WEEE Regulations do not give entitlement to free collection of WEEE from your home, and if you require F1 to dispose of old equipment you must arrange drop off at our Lincoln premises of such, at mutually convenient time, allowing 2 days notice. Please note that this process requires your input and will take approximately one hour.
If it is not feasible to drop off equipment we would encourage consumers to dispose of WEEE responsibly within their locality. For Example: most council’s run recycling centres at their Waste Disposal Sites. Please see the links below for further information.

Advice to non-householder (Commercial/Business/Self Employed)
You may be obligated to finance the treatment of Electrical & Electronic Equipment (EEE) you discard as waste, and it’s recycling, recovery and environmentally sound disposal, according to the requirement of the WEEE Regulations:
- when you discard EEE which you purchased before 13 August 2005 and do not replace it with new EEE; and
- where you purchase new EEE after 13 August 2005 and choose, through commercial negotiation with the producer, to accept some or all of the future costs of treating and recovering the EEE when it becomes waste
However, many manufacturers (producers) will dispose of WEEE on a like for like basis when purchasing new EEE. All manufacturers by law have to join a Producer Compliance Scheme, which facilitates the take back and disposal of WEEE. We have listed below the vendors with whom we currently work, click on the link of the manufacturer and details will be given of their particular scheme and information on how to apply for the removal of WEEE from your premises.
F1 are not obligated to take back your WEEE, however as part of the supply chain we will signpost producers and non-household end users to discharge their obligations under the WEE Regulations. In order to assist please see the link below with producer links in connection with disposal of WEEE. For further information please contact one of our representatives on 01522 508080.
